"For me it was very important to choose the right record deal. But at that time the labels in Nashville were convinced that there was not young market for country music that there was no young audience who wanted to listen to it. They said “the only audience who listens to country radio is 35 year old females.” I would try to say to them “but they’ll have kids and what if they’re listening in the car with kids and maybe they want something that they can listen to together.” And it took kind of years and years. I ended up getting a writing contract a publishing deal first and so I started my career in Nashville as a staff songwriter and I kind of worked my way in the back way of making it in Nashville because I was a writer first. And when the deals did come in eventually after a few years, I made sure that picked the right one that wouldn’t try and kind of convince me to record other people’s music. It was very important for me that I write everything."

I was just thinking about Shake It Off and its message then I started thinking about other songs then this dawned on me…
Taylor Swift track 6: The Outside – about being left out, bullied, alienated, ignored
Fearless track 6: You Belong With Me – comparing oneself to those who are ‘better’ and more ‘popular’ (cheerleader and girl on the bleachers)
Speak Now track 6: Mean – Bullying, realising that there’s always going to be critics
Red track 6: 22 – Having fun and living your life without a care
1989 track 6: Shake It Off – Being yourself and dancing to your own beat and not caring what everyone else thinks
They’re all track number 6 and they all share a common theme… this is just a coincidence taylorswift?
